日本科学家上周五宣布他们已从智齿中提取到干细胞，此举为致命疾病的研究开拓出一条新路，毋须再因使用胚胎而惹起道德争议。

上述报道中，wisdom teeth就是“智齿”，一般指the last of the permanent teeth to erupt (between ages 16 and 21)，tooth/teeth decay 则是“龋齿”，也叫dental caries。
